- Tool Strength: Ras Ersel fish are very aggressive and strong, surrounded by sharp rocks. You need popping/jigging rods of at least PE 6-8, very strong drag reels (such as large sizes from Shimano or Daiwa), and carbon leader line of at least 100-130 lbs.
- Baits: Be sure to bring a variety of large poppers (120-200g), sinking and floating
- stickbaits, and a set of jigs of varying weights. Ras Ersel currents can be very strong and require heavy weights to reach the bottom.
Safety: Fishing from the rocks of Ras Ersel requires specialized non-slip shoes (spike shoes) and a light life jacket at all times, whether on the boat or on the high rocks. This program guarantees you more than 35 hours of actual fishing in the water during the week in one of the world’s richest fish-producing area
